The Ground Port · Grounding Sheet

No more 3 a.m. Nothing to swallow.
Just sleep on it.

A sleep aid with no dose in it.

✓ You sleep on it. That’s the whole routine.

✓ Nothing goes in you, so there’s no dose to raise.

✓ Tester in the box: check your ground, night 1.

90 nights. Sleep on it. Give it 30 before you decide. If it wasn't for you, send it back and we refund the sheet and the postage you paid to return it.

Shipping

Processing takes 1 to 3 business days. Delivery is 7 to 10 business days in the United States, and 7 to 14 internationally.

You get a tracking number by email the moment it leaves. Full detail is on our Shipping and Delivery page.

Returns, in full

90 nights, counted from the day it arrives rather than the day you ordered.

  • Email us first. A person replies within 1 business day, with a name at the bottom.
  • Refunds open from night 30. A sheet you slept on twice hasn’t been tried, and we’d rather you gave it a month than a weekend.
  • Send the sheet back. Pay the postage at the counter and photograph the receipt. We refund what you paid for the sheet and the exact postage on that receipt, so the return costs you the trip and nothing else. The one exception is an outlet that was never grounded: once a photo of an outlet tester confirms it, and no other outlet within reach of the cord is grounded, the refund starts right away, without the 30-night wait. The postage back is yours.
  • The free mat and tester. Keep at least one sheet and they're yours. If the whole order comes back, they come back with it, or we deduct what they're worth: $20 for the tester, $70 for the mat.
  • 1 refund per customer, household or payment method.

We refund sheets that have been slept on, and we don’t ask how you washed it or whether you kept the packaging. Read the full policy.

Care

Wash cold every couple of months. Line dry. No bleach, no fabric softener, no dryer. Those 3 are what shorten the life of a conductive sheet, and we’d rather print it than have you find out.

IF YOU KNOW THIS HOUR, THIS PAGE IS FOR YOU

3:32 AM

You’re awake, and you’ve already done the math on how many hours you have left.

You fell asleep fine. That was never the problem. The problem is that you’re up again, the room’s the same room, and the arithmetic starts on its own. 3 hours and 28 minutes if you fall asleep right now.

In the morning you’ll run on coffee. Tonight you’ll run on whatever’s in the drawer. You know the loop isn’t sustainable. You’ve known that for a while.

Most people reading this got here the same way: something worked, then it worked less, then the dose went up.

I WANT TO STOP FEELING EXHAUSTED ALL DAY

The part that happens after you get up.

The reason any of this matters isn’t the night. It’s the 14 hours after it.

Coffee because you like it, not because you can’t function without it. A morning meeting you don’t push to the afternoon because you don’t trust your head before noon. Not snapping at your kid over nothing, then apologizing, then doing it again tomorrow.

That is the thing being bought. Nobody buys a bedsheet.

That’s the version of the problem worth solving, and a stronger dose was never going to solve it. 90 nights is how you find out what this does to your mornings.

THE PART NOBODY POINTS OUT

Everything you’ve already tried has the same shape.

Pill. Gummy. Tea. Drops. Tincture. Wine.

Every single one of them goes in you. And whatever goes in you at 10pm is still in you at 7am.

That’s the fog. The first hour where you read the same email 3 times. The word that won’t come in the meeting. Walking into the kitchen and standing there, trying to remember why. You slept, technically. You just woke up underneath something.

Groggy is the polite word for it. Some mornings it’s closer to stupefied, and coffee only gets you partway back.

And somewhere in there you read the headline about PM pills and dementia. Now 3:32 has something new to think about.

That is not a melatonin problem. That is a swallowing problem.

Whatever you swallow to get to sleep, you wake up with. A gentler one just means a thinner fog.

So stop looking for a better one, and look at the other category instead. The one that doesn’t go in you at all.

THE OTHER CATEGORY

There is a wire running into the ground under your house.

It’s been there since the day the building went up. Every outlet in your home has a hole for it. The round one at the bottom. The one you’ve never used for anything.

It doesn’t carry power. It’s the safety wire, a straight path into the earth, and the electrical code requires it in every new home in America for exactly that reason.

The sheet goes on your bed, you sleep on it, and it connects to that wire while you do. That’s the whole mechanism. There’s no battery, no field, no frequency, and nothing to switch on.

We named the company after that hole. It seemed like the honest thing to point at.

WHAT ACTUALLY MOVES

The ground under your house is negative. That's what calms the 3 a.m. alarm.

The Earth’s surface holds a steady supply of free electrons, topped up by the planet’s own weather. It never runs down and never needs charging. For most of history you slept connected to it without trying: bare ground, straw, leather soles. Rubber soles and a foam mattress upstairs ended that quietly.

Researchers have proposed that those electrons work like antioxidants, the same job vitamin C does, calming the free radicals that keep inflammation simmering. What has been measured runs in three steps, and it ends at 3 a.m.

Your voltage drops. The wiring in your walls leaves a small voltage on your skin all night. On a grounded sheet, a meter shows it falling toward zero. You can check that yourself the night the sheet arrives.

Your nervous system stands down. In a sham-controlled test, heart rate variability, the number a ring uses to read stress, shifted within 40 minutes of being grounded.

The 3 a.m. hormone comes down. After eight weeks of sleeping grounded, night-time cortisol fell. That’s the hormone that starts you awake before the alarm.

Think of the sheet as an extension cord to the Earth. It doesn’t generate anything, emit anything, or run on anything. It connects you to the ground you’re standing on anyway.

I WANT TO STOP NEEDING A PILL TO FALL ASLEEP

There is no dose in this.

You don’t take it. You don’t time it an hour before bed. You don’t raise it in 6 months because it stopped doing what it did in month 1.

A sheet is not a dose. There’s nothing to adjust to.

On night 90 this is doing exactly what it did on night 1. Nothing here can wear off, because nothing here was ever a dose. That’s what takes the drawer out of your evening.

I WANT TO SLEEP THROUGH THE WHOLE NIGHT

You do not want better sleep. You want the whole night.

Not 8 hours of lying there. One stretch. You go down, and the next thing you know the alarm’s going off and it’s already light outside.

No 3:32. No arithmetic. No lying there deciding whether to get up or keep trying.

A 2025 trial measured the closest thing to that: total time actually asleep, recorded by a sensor instead of memory. The group on the real grounded mat got more of it than the group on the fake one.

Someone on r/Biohackers, 3 nights into their own sheet, put it less scientifically:

“I on average get about 3.5-5 hours of restless sleep; however, since I started using my grounding sheet, I have been sleeping like someone’s drugged me.”

Their watch logged 2 nights over 8 hours, uninterrupted. They wrote that on a public forum 3 nights in, with nothing to sell and no idea we existed. That’s what the number above looks like from the inside.

  • $12 a month

A bottle you rebuy, at a dose that’s been climbing for 4 years. Call it $144 a year. There’s always a year 2.

  • $92

$92, once. One size. There’s no year 2, and nothing renews.

  • $2,000+

The mattress systems. $2,000, and the wire at the end of it goes to the same place ours does.

1 year of the drawer costs more than the sheet does, and the sheet doesn’t renew. Check it against your own receipts.

Against everything else in the drawer.

You’ve tried most of this list. Every checkmark below comes from one difference: nothing goes in you.

  • 1. Check the outlet beside your bed

It needs a real ground. In older houses plenty of 3-prong outlets were retrofitted without one, and that’s one of the most common reasons a grounding sheet does nothing. The outlet tester in your box answers it in 4 seconds.

  • 2. Lay the sheet down

On top of your fitted sheet, and you sleep straight on it. Skin against the silver is how it was tested, and it’s cotton, not a plastic mat, so there’s nothing to get used to.

  • 3. Plug in the cord

Snap the flat end onto the stud, put the other end in the round hole at the bottom of the outlet.

  • 4. Sleep

No pill an hour before. No wind-down routine. Just go to bed.

Who you are actually buying from

This is a small company. Small enough that when you write in, it reaches the person who chose the fabric.

We read several thousand reviews of grounding sheets before we built anything. The 1-star reviews almost never said the sheet was bad. They said nobody answered.

So that’s the company. The sheet is good. The answering is the point.

FAQ

The questions people actually ask

A bedsheet is going to do what melatonin couldn’t?

Different question than the one you’re asking. Melatonin gave you a dose, and your body did what bodies do with doses. This doesn’t give you one. It connects you to the ground wire under your house while you’re already lying still the whole night. You’ve got 90 nights to find out what that does. What it won’t do is stop working in month 6 because you got used to it.

This sounds like a wellness thing. Is there any actual evidence?

Yes. Here’s the one worth knowing. In 2025, researchers gave people either a grounded mat or a fake one, and neither the people nor the researchers knew which was which. After 31 days, a sensor measured how long each person actually slept. The grounded group slept longer.

It was a pilot, and it tested a mat, not this sheet. But it was tested against a fake, which is exactly the test that separates a real effect from a hopeful one. There’s also a study on a sheet like this one: 10 nights, triple-blind, run by university researchers with no declared commercial ties. That one measured muscle recovery, not sleep.

The electrical half isn’t in dispute at all. The sheet grounds you, and you can check that yourself with a $15 meter in under a minute.

How do I know it's actually working?

Start with the outlet, because an outlet without a real ground is one of the most common reasons a grounding sheet does nothing. Plug in the free tester and its 3 lights tell you in 4 seconds. Grounded outlet, cord in, skin on the sheet: you're connected. After that, the proof is your nights, and that's what the 90 are for.

How long until I know? I don’t want to sleep on this for 3 months and find out it’s nothing.

Give it a week. When people write about their first nights on a grounding sheet, it's often inside that week: night one for some, night two or three for others.

If yours takes longer, that's what the 90 nights are for, and we pay the postage back. Refunds open from night 30, so a slow start still gets a fair trial.

Can't I just walk barefoot on the grass?

You can, and it's the same connection. The difference is when. Twenty minutes on the lawn happens in daylight. 3 a.m. happens in bed, and that's where the sheet is: connected the whole night while you sleep, with nothing to remember.

Do I have to sleep naked on it?

No. You need some skin on it, not all of it. An arm, your feet, a shoulder, that’s contact. Put it on top of your fitted sheet and sleep the way you already sleep. It’s cotton with silver woven through it, not a plastic mat you have to negotiate with, and bare skin against the fabric is how the sheet in the 2019 trial was used.

$92 for a sheet. My whole mattress cost $600.

Fair. Here’s the arithmetic. A bottle at $12 a month is $144 a year, and the dose has been climbing for 4 years. This is $92 once, and there’s no year 2. You’ve already spent more than this on the thing that stopped working.

Is this a subscription?

No. You pay once, $92 for one sheet or $158 for two, and that's the only charge. Nothing renews, nothing ships again unless you order it, and the free gifts don't sign you up for anything.

How long does delivery take?

Processing takes 1 to 3 business days. Delivery is 7 to 10 business days in the United States and 7 to 14 internationally. You get a tracking number by email the moment it leaves, and if anything goes wrong on the way, write to Support@thegroundport.com and we'll chase it with you.

What exactly is the refund policy?

90 nights from the day it arrives. Refunds open from night 30, because a sheet you slept on twice hasn't really been tried.

Email us first and a person replies within 1 business day. Send the sheet back and photograph the postage receipt: we refund what you paid for the sheet plus that postage, even if you've slept on it. 1 refund per customer, household or payment method. If your outlet has no real ground and none within reach of the cord does either, we refund right away, without the 30-night wait, and the postage back is yours.

The rest, including what happens to the free tester and mat, is in the full policy.

Is it safe to plug this into my wall?

Yes, and the reason’s worth understanding. The cord only ever touches the ground port, the round hole at the bottom of the outlet, which carries no electricity. It’s the safety wire, the path the electrical code requires in every new American home precisely because it’s the safe way to earth. The cord also has a resistor built in, which limits current regardless of what happens upstream.

Is the free tester one of those pens that light up on everything?

No. A non-contact voltage pen reacts to nearby metal and static charge, which is why it glows over an unplugged sheet in the videos going around. It isn't a grounding test. That's exactly why we don't ship one. Every box gets a real plug-in outlet tester instead: 3 lights that read the actual wiring behind the wall. Test the sheet itself with a multimeter. If a company hands you a tool that lights up no matter what, that tool is decoration.

I heard silver sheets stop working after a few washes. Does this one?

Some do. It comes down to when the silver goes on. Coat a finished fabric and the wash starts scrubbing it off from the first cycle. Ours goes on the thread before the thread is woven, so the silver sits inside the weave, where the drum has far less to grab. Wash it cold every couple of months, line dry, skip the softener.

Check it any time: multimeter on continuity, both probes on the fabric. Not through the cord. The safety resistor in it keeps a meter silent, on our cord and everyone else’s.

Wake up without doing the arithmetic.

Not a stronger dose. A different category. 90 nights start the day it arrives, not the day you make up your mind. Give it 30 before you decide, and if it isn't for you, the sheet and the return postage both come back.
